Ex Libris – V for Vendetta

A few weeks ago, I decided to watch the movie V for Vendetta. I’m a bit of a nerd and I have loved most comic book or graphic novel-based movies, so I assumed I’d like this one as well. It was no exception, and I loved it enough to buy my very first graphic novel. I’m looking forward to reading this one this summer!

“Remember, remember the 5th of November” – V

“The ending is nearer than you think, and it is already written. All we have left to choose is the correct moment to begin.” – V

I’ve been meaning to ask: what did you think of the book? I’ve read (and loved) the book, but haven’t seen the movie yet, even though a friend bought me a copy a couple of years ago when he found out I hadn’t see it yet, then called it his birthday present to me.

I haven’t read that one, but my general opinion of Dickens is that I am okay with not reading his books. Fantastically important, wonderfully written, but just not my particular taste.

This is the first Dickens I’ve ever been able to actually get into. I’ve started and abandoned many of his works. I generally love that era’s literature but for whatever reason, I have major difficulties with him.
